As Auckland starts the roll-out of its planned move to LED street lighting, AEC's Italo is taking it's place on key routes. The new LED luminaires, with up to 50% energy saving over traditional lights, are now making Auckland Transport's white light policy affordable.
Bryce street is a major shopping street in Hamilton which needs to be brightly lit after dark to encourage shoppers. LED luminaires give a white light which ensures objects are seen in their true colours, making them more easily perceived by the human eye and thus increasing road safety.
