Headed by its two directors, Kevin Brooksbank and Ray Wells, Techlight was established in 2008 with the vision of bringing world class public lighting to New Zealand.
Ray Wells is our Operations Manager and has had a long career in public sector road and urban lighting which means he fully understands the constraints of public finance and the accountability every project must deliver in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and value for money.
Antony Collett is our National Sales Manager, a highly qualified lighting professional with over 25 years of national and international industry experience. His technical knowledge and strong foundation in design has seen him work on a diverse range of projects across all market sectors with a specialisation in sports lighting design. Antony is a long-standing member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia and New Zealand (IESANZ) and is qualified in electrical and illumination engineering.
Pierre Abrahamse is our Design & Technical Sales Engineer, with over 15 years of industry experience and a sound knowledge of the lighting standards and compliance requirements, Pierre has worked on a wide range of projects and is here to assist with making your project a reality. Pierre is a Technical member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia and New Zealand (IESANZ) and is qualified in illumination engineering.
Andrew Wells is our Design and Technical Sales Engineer for the Lower North Island and also heads up our lighting design team. He is fully conversant with the requirements of the relevant lighting standards and works closely with clients who require specialist design outcomes. Andrew is a Technical member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia and New Zealand (IESANZ) and is qualified in illumination engineering.
Paul Franssen is our Wellington-based Design and Technical Sales Engineer and has over 25 years of electrical and lighting industry experience, most of those years spent with major lighting companies specialising in area, flood, industrial, commercial, architectural and sports lighting. He has been involved in many aspects of lighting, including design, specification, tender preparation, and project and supply management. He looks after our clients in the Greater Wellington Area and South Island. Paul has a strong focus on relationship management, communication, problem-solving, and customer service. Paul is a Member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia and New Zealand (IESANZ) and is keen to assist his clients by providing technically sound, energy-efficient, and cost-effective lighting solutions for street, area, commercial, and industrial lighting applications.
Terence Sue is our Senior Lighting Engineer. He has specialised in road lighting design since 2011 both nationally and internationally including 3-years in Canada working for a worldwide, multi-disciplinary consultancy. Throughout his career, he has been involved in the design of road and exterior lighting projects including subdivisions, major arterial roads, pathways, transport interchanges, carparks, sports grounds, parks, and urban spaces. Terence also has expertise in industrial lighting design and is fully conversant with the AS/NZS suite of lighting standards and the local council lighting standards within New Zealand. Terence is a Technical member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia and New Zealand (IESANZ) and is qualified in illumination engineering.
Daniel Kennedy is our Central Management Systems (CMS) and IoT Project Manager, who helps local authorities to plan, deploy and maintain systems. He is very experienced with intelligent networks and CMS software. He consistently delivers high quality, resourceful and reliable client service. He is also a valuable member of the lighting design team.
Dominic Williams is our Central Management Systems (CMS) and IoT Administrator, who works with Daniel to set up and maintain our software systems and intelligent networks. He has a strong background in systems administration and enjoys problem-solving any issues that you may encounter. Dominic’s key focus is on building strong relationships with clients through efficient troubleshooting, effective communication, and excellent customer service. He is also learning lighting design to gain a broader understanding of the relationship between lighting projects and intelligent networks.
Matt Binks is a qualified Engineer, our CMS Support Engineer, and also manages the day to day operations of the warehouse and logistics.
Kalli Maran is a highly qualified Auditor, she is our Office Manager, taking care of all administration, orders, accounting and importing.
