We are proud to announce that the CELstar3F LED Belisha Beacon from our UK brand partner Charles Endirect has been approved by Auckland Transport for use on their network and is now included on their LED Approved Luminaire list.

In October 2022, AT produced a dedicated LED Belisha Beacon technical assessment process for which all new and existing LED Belisha Beacon products have to go through and pass in order to be specified/installed onto the AT network. The LED Belisha Beacon luminaire has to undergo the same level of technical scrutiny as for a roadlighting luminaire and once approved, is listed on the AT Amenity Luminaire Approved List (AT-ALAL).

Techlight now has AEC 2nd generation LED Streetlights LED-in in stock. Using Philips’ award-winning LUXEON Rebel Lumileds and Xitanium Drivers makes the latest luminaires from AEC some of the most advanced lighting products in the world.

The patented micro optic system ensures precise light distribution and minimal glare. The unit is totally sealed to IP66 and totally controlable through AEC’s advanced tele-management system, offering three dimming options and both automatic and programmable systems. The patented “Comfort Light Optic” system is capable of optimising the luminous flux of each LED and reducing blinding effects.

Ray Wells joins Techlight (2011)

We are pleased to welcome Ray to the Techlight team. Ray has over 24 years experience in the Power Utility and Oil and Gas Industry overseas, coming to New Zealand as an Electrical Engineer and Energy Manager. He has worked in the NZ street lighting and energy management markets for over a decade.

Ray is a Scotech qualified Electrical Engineer and an Energy Management Association Accredited Energy Auditor. He has an Energy Management Graduate Certificate in Science and Technology from Massey University.

 

Petrel Hazardous Area Equipment (2010)

Techlight is appointed New Zealand distributor for UK company Petrel who manufacture explosion-proof lighting and control equipment.

 

Revised Pedestrian Crossing Standard Released (2009)

Techlight now offer a range of products from AEC in accordance with the latest standard – from the Kaos road / street light to the more decorative Logika, Quadro and Ecoevo, incorporating specially designed optics that deliver light exactly where it is required.
